Direct Flights to the History-Rich North

Starting in October 2014, American Airlines will offer direct flights from Miami to Cap-Haïtien. This could be an economic boost for businesses related to tourism given that visitors will be drawn by the rich history of northern Haiti in addition to the natural beauty. Those who appreciate Haiti’s “Avengers of the New World” will certainly be excited to visit sites like the Citadelle and Christophe’s Sans-Souci palace.
